I got invited to a sweet holiday party tonight at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant. One of the trade associations that represents companies that make booze is hosting it, so there will be open bars with all sorts of fancy drinks. Bonus: free cabs at the end of the night. So I’m at the laundromat (which is very glamorous), but it’s like 9 degrees outside. Naturally, I had to go to the corner store to buy a beer to warm up. But the laundromat does not allow you to drink inside, so I had to walk down to the bridge under the train tracks to drink it. Because it is 9 degrees outside, I didn’t so much “drink” it as I “pounded”...
